Open Water Swimming Venues for Coaching
Ashdown Forest Lake
Cackle Street, Nutley, TN22 3DU
This is a very picturesque lake in the middle of Ashdown Forest (about 250m loop). This summer, lifeguarded swim sessions run by (www.ashdownforestleisure.co.uk) tend to run on Sunday mornings at 9am and cost £10. Wetsuits are not compulsory, but all swimmers must wear a tow float for visibility.
If you are new to Open Water/Cold Water Swimming, I offer an Introductory course to teach you about the safety aspects and risks to consider as well as how to acclimatise safely and enjoy the cold water.
I am currently able to offer 1-2-1/small group open water coaching sessions at this lake when there are no paddle boarding/kayaking sessions. Please contact me for my availability or for more information. My prices can be found on the "Book Online" section of this website.
WeirWood Reservoir

This is a beautiful reservoir just outside East Grinstead.
WeirWood Reservoir is now under new management and open swim sessions have just started again on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and early Saturday mornings. For more info, go to: www.weirwood.co.uk.
I offer 1-2-1 and small group coaching to introduce swimmers to open water swimming, or work on swim technique or open water race skills with more advanced swimmers.
